One of the most unique experiences about live streaming is the fact it is a live performance. It doesn’t matter what you are doing, it is a performance with no take backs. Live streaming to the world, with anonymous people dropping in to see what you are doing is thrilling and exciting. You are no longer surrounded by your peers at work or in your art cliques. It’s you in front of strangers. You alone to give them a performance they will want to see again or to come back and check out your next presentation. I encourage anyone who makes videos or art to try it. Live streaming is a fantastic way to connect and introduce yourself to the world. Additionally, you learn to be quick. You have to be on your game to keep people interested. I record music in my live streams and I don’t have time to figure out how to use a new feature on my DAW or to fumble around between parts. I warm up before the stream, tune my instruments, pull up a template and get everything prepared. You never know who will show up to your stream and become a fan of your work. The one thing you don’t want to do, is waste their time. So, give it a try. If you have questions about live streaming, contact me for more information and I’ll see what I can do to help.
My second live stream
My second live stream went so much smoother. I was able to focus on my audience and the tasks I wanted to complete. It wasn’t until the end of the stream when I “realized” I was performing. I did last night what I normally do in the studio with no one watching me:
- Got into the groove and didn’t worry about the world seeing a bad performance or technical mess up.
- Was able to find a sweet spot where I could start to let my personality come out and enjoy what I was doing without fear.
Now, about the song
I am starting to really like this song. Seldom do I know when I start recording a riff or groove what will become of the song. Sometimes it’s super easy to knock it out and other times I struggle. Struggle to the point where I abandon it or save it for another time. In this instance I am starting to really enjoy the song and have some production ideas to expand upon. I am going to work on this song off line and present it next week during the live stream. Meantime, you can you can find mo
